Partnership Marketing - Unlimited Bagels
Today I received a courier delivered box of Abe’s Bagels, Crisps and Café l’affare Coffee. Inside was a card from Unlimited thanking me for my subscription renewal. Wow I was impressed, a quick tally had me at a $30 retail value for this. How can you make this work when a subscription is only worth $89?

What Unlimited are doing here is smart partnership marketing. They're doing a deal with other progressive brands and leveraging value between them. Here for instance Unlimited would be paying significantly less than retail for these gift packs. They get a gift with purchase at a heavily discounted price. Abe’s would be getting discounted media value in the form of the subscription card and possibly discounted advertising as well. In addition they're also getting new people to trial their product. I for instance haven’t tried their Bagel crisps and will look forward to trying them. Abe’s have also been smart to include a couple of vouchers to make the most out of their investment.

If you want to learn more about partnership marketing check this article on marketing profs. The best thing about this is that Unlimited have chosen to respect their existing customers and not just offer these gifts to new subscribers.

So thank you Unlimited. I’ve been an avid reader from the start, I’m a signed up member and pleased to see you're living your values. By the way this offer's open until April 30 so if you want to get some bagels, coffee and wine with your Unlimited subscription now is the time to do it!
